Accelerated Reader

Your child will be receiving their AR level this week.  Please ask them about it and check their book to make sure it is in their independent reading level!  We are still pushing for 85% comprehension.

 Language Arts

This month we are focusing on multiple meaning and structural pattern of chronological order/sequential order.  We are reading the story By the Great Horn Spoon.

Math

It is imperative that your child memorize multiplication facts. Please help your child with this at home.

 Please see me if your child is struggling with multiplication for a practice packet.

We will be reviewing Chapter 1-place value/rounding. We are starting chapter 2- addition and subtraction.

Fluency Paragraph

If your child brings home the fluency paragraph please be sure that you are reading it with them nightly.  We are aiming for 100 words per minute at this time.
